Usage
- Ofloxacin: A fluoroquinolone antibiotic that fights bacterial infections by inhibiting DNA gyrase, an essential enzyme for bacterial DNA replication.
- Ornidazole: An antiprotozoal and antibacterial agent that eradicates protozoa and anaerobic bacteria by damaging their DNA.
Indications
- Bacterial Infections: Respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections, and soft tissue infections.
- Protozoal Infections: Amoebiasis, giardiasis, and trichomoniasis.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity: Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Ofloxacin, Ornidazole, or any other ingredients in the tablet.
- Tendon Disorders: Patients with a history of tendon disorders related to fluoroquinolone use.
- Pregnancy and Lactation: Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary and prescribed by a healthcare provider.
- CNS Disorders: Patients with epilepsy or other central nervous system disorders should avoid this medication.
